Employee Spotlight: Amy Pillarella

Amy PillarellaAmy Pillarella, United Way’s Family Resource and Development Center (FRDC) Program Director has been busy this fall making changes to her department! Amy joins us from Crystal Springs School, where she served as the Director of Children’s Residential Services for more than 13 years. Amy is a seasoned manager, experienced child-welfare professional, and compassionate leader whose vision is expanding the scope of FRDC’s work in our community. Amy and her team are making a difference in people’s lives through one-on-one resource referrals, group workshops, programs, and activities. Amy is a standout, and we are so excited she is sharing her talents with families in New Bedford.

“Starting a new career path is a fresh start, a new beginning even," said Amy. "I am grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow and most importantly contribute to our community”.

Since Amy has joined the team, she has been focused on improving efficiency within the FRDC team, establishing clear and consistent communication, building foundational relationships, re-organizing the office space and center, and is actively looking for opportunities for professional development to offer the community.
