Exciting Updates at United Way of Greater New Bedford

The past few months have been a whirlwind of progress and transformation at United Way of Greater New Bedford (UWGNB), and we couldn’t be more excited to share some big news with you. From a new office space to a refreshed look and impactful initiatives, we’re making strides to serve our community better than ever.

A New Home at the DeMello International Center

In early October, we relocated to the 4th floor of the DeMello International Center. Our new office is spacious and full of potential, and we’re thrilled to make it our own. Keep an eye out for new signage, coming soon, that will reflect the vibrant energy of our mission and vision.

Introducing Our Refreshed Brand

October was also the month we unveiled our new logo at our Annual Meeting. This rebrand aligns with United Way’s strategy to clarify our mission and strengthen our identity, helping us better connect with the community. Here are some key updates to our look:

  • A Brighter Color Palette: The expanded colors reflect optimism and energy.
  • Bolder Fonts: Strength and clarity now shine through in every piece of communication.
  • Evolved Logo Design: The “Circle of Hope” remains iconic, symbolizing a rainbow of hope, the hand of support, and the human figure representing community. The unboxed design now reflects our open, inclusive, and dynamic approach.
  • A Unified Strategy: Adopting a “branded house” approach prioritizes the primary United Way brand for stronger recognition and relevance.

We’re also proud to launch our new tagline: United is the Way. It’s more than a statement—it’s a call to action that underscores the collective impact we can achieve when we work together.

A New Tool to Fight Hunger

HC truck

Since October, our brand-new Hunger Commission truck has been on the road, amplifying our efforts to combat food insecurity across Greater New Bedford. This state-of-the-art vehicle, made possible through a generous grant from the Manton Foundation, serves as a literal and figurative “billboard on wheels.” It’s been delivering fresh, healthy food to those in need and making a significant impact in our community. As we continue into the busy holiday season, the truck remains a vital tool in helping us address hunger and support our neighbors.

Looking Ahead

As we settle into our new space and embrace our refreshed identity, our focus remains on creating lasting change in Greater New Bedford. We’re energized and ready to tackle the challenges ahead, united with our supporters and partners.

We invite you to join us in this journey. Together, we’ll continue to engage, energize, and elevate our community because United is the Way.

Stay tuned for more updates and initiatives from UWGNB, and thank you for being an integral part of our story!
