Financial Wellness Coordinator

Dora earned her Bachelor of Science in International Business Management from Newbury College. Her professional experience includes a tenure at Bank of America in Boston's Financial District, where she played a pivotal part in guiding clients to achieve their personal and financial goals. Prior to joining United Way, Dora also served as a program mentor at Economic Mobility Pathways (EMPath), a national non-profit that improves the lives of people struggling to make ends meet. She supported participants in securing permanent housing, employment, education, financial security, family stability, and overall health. Her dedication to holistic well-being aligns seamlessly with United Way’s commitment to comprehensive support through Financial Wellness at Work. Raised in New Bedford, she truly appreciates the city for its diversity and roots to her Cape Verdean culture. Fluent in Creole, Portuguese, and Spanish, Dora's linguistic versatility will position United Way to connect directly with Financial Wellness at Work participants and the broader community. Dora enjoys traveling, fashion, and spending time with loved ones.
