Preparing Youth for Success

We help children and youth reach their full potential in school and in the community.  We are giving them the ability to persevere and make good choices no matter their circumstances.

Youth ages 16-24 who do not consistently attend school or work are at greater risk of long-term poverty, incarceration, and substance abuse. We are actively working to keep youth in school and on a supported path to success.

United Way supports:

  • Safe, supportive out-of-school programs and activities
  • Mentoring and tutoring
  • Job and life skills training
  • Youth gang violence prevention
